XANEM is commonly used in hospitals for treating infections such as intra-abdominal infections, bacterial meningitis, pneumonia (including hospital-acquired), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and septicemia. Indications of Meropenem (XANEM) 1g Vial 1’s

• Severe community-acquired and hospital-acquired pneumonia

• Complicated urinary tract infections

• Administered intravenously (IV) by a healthcare provider.

• Usual adult dose: 500 mg to 1g every 8 hours, depending on infection severity

• Dose adjustments required in patients with renal impairment.

• Reconstitution and dilution must be done under sterile conditions. 

Contraindications of Meropenem (XANEM) 1g Vial 1’s

• Hypersensitivity to meropenem, other carbapenems, or any component of the formulation.
