Celecoxib (EMICOX-400) 400mg Capsule 100’s  is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that reduces the production of prostaglandins, substances responsible for pain and inflammation. It is commonly prescribed for arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.

Indication/Uses: 

Celecoxib (EMICOX-400) 400mg Capsule 100’s  is indicated in the following conditions.

• Osteoarthritis:
  • Relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis:
  • Management of signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.
• Acute Pain:
  • Treatment of acute pain in adults.
• Primary Dysmenorrhea:
  • Relief of pain associated with primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).
• Ankylosing Spondylitis:
  • Management of signs and symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis.
• Familial Adenomatous Polyposis:
  • To reduce the number of adenomatous colorectal polyps in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), as an adjunct to usual care (e.g., endoscopic surveillance, surgery).

• Pain Management:
  • Celecoxib is effective in reducing pain, inflammation, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis.
• Anti-inflammatory:
  • It helps decrease inflammation, which is a common cause of pain and discomfort in various conditions.
• Menstrual Pain:
  • It alleviates menstrual pain and discomfort, making it useful for women experiencing severe menstrual cramps.

Dosage:

Celecoxib (EMICOX-400) 400mg Capsule 100’s  is given based on patients condition below:

• Osteoarthritis:
  • 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis:
  • 100 to 200 mg twice daily.
• Acute Pain and Primary Dysmenorrhea:
  • 400 mg initially, followed by an additional 200 mg if needed on the first day, then 200 mg twice daily as needed.
• Ankylosing Spondylitis:
  • 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily; some patients may benefit from a total daily dose of 400 mg.
