About Esomeprazole (Ambica) 40mg Tablet 30’s
Esomeprazole (Ambica) 40mg Tablet 30’s is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) designed to reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Each tablet contains 40mg of esomeprazole, the S-isomer of omeprazole, offering more efficient and sustained acid suppression compared to racemic omeprazole. This medication is primarily used to treat various acid-related gastrointestinal conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, peptic ulcers, and other disorders involving excessive stomach acid production.
Esomeprazole (Ambica) 40mg Tablet 30’s is also commonly prescribed in combination with antibiotics to eradicate Helicobacter pylori infection, a major cause of peptic ulcers. In addition, it helps prevent the recurrence of ulcers in patients taking NSAIDs and is effective in managing long-term conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Its once-daily dosing offers convenience and promotes adherence, making it a preferred option in acid suppression therapy.
