Clindamycin (CLINTOP) 300mg Capsule is commonly prescribed for respiratory, skin, bone, joint, gynecological, and intra-abdominal infections.
Indications of Clindamycin (CLINTOP) 300mg Capsule
- Upper and lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia, bronchitis, and lung abscess
- Skin and soft tissue infections, such as acne, cellulitis, impetigo, and abscesses
- Bone and joint infections, including osteomyelitis and septic arthritis
- Gynecological infections, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, and tubo-ovarian abscess
- Intra-abdominal infections, including peritonitis and abdominal abscess
- Septicemia and endocarditis, in selected cases
- Dental infections, including periodontal abscess and periodontitis
- Alternative treatment for penicillin-allergic patients in severe Staphylococcus and Streptococcus infections

Dosage and Administration of Clindamycin (CLINTOP) 300mg Capsule
- Mild to moderate infections: 150-300mg every 6 hours
- Severe infections: 300-450mg every 6 hours
- Bone and joint infections: 300-450mg every 6 hours for at least 10 days
- Dental infections: 150-300mg every 6 hours
Clindamycin (CLINTOP) 300mg Capsule should be taken with a full glass of water to prevent esophageal irritation. It can be taken with or without food, as food does not affect absorption of the drug.
